Attorney William A. Poore’s areas of concentration and expertise include personal injury, premise liability, business, commercial and corporate law, insurance, complex construction disputes, torts, product liability, maritime law, malpractice (medical and legal) and negligence claims. He is licensed to practice in Rhode Island Family, District, Superior and Supreme Courts (1973), as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island (1973), the U.S. District Court of Appeals (1980) and the U.S. Supreme Court (1987).
Attorney Poore has been principally engaged in the field of civil litigation on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants since 1973. Representation includes selected defense matters on behalf of the insurance and construction industries. He is an experienced trial attorney having concluded over one hundred and twenty (120) jury and non-jury trials in both State and Federal Courts.
Attorney Poore is extensively experienced in all forms of alternative dispute resolution: early neutral evaluations, binding and non-binding arbitrations and mediations. He is approved and appointed by the Rhode Island Superior Court to serve as a mediator for annual Settlement Week and is a certified member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Panel for United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island.
